Here's a Connie Govea Stuart's painters box that is just
wonderful.

Thinking I need to change this around

I thought I would take pictures of some more vignettes in my studio before I
begin to change things around.  I pretty much keep things at home the
same until I just want to get rid of something so I am not sure yet what the next
vignette will look like since I am not ready to replace any of this.
Does anyone recognize the Joseph Magnin Boxes?

Christmas at the shop

My husband, Tony, and I took pictures of the store today.  We need
a lot more practice and maybe some lessons but here they are:

                                                               The store is upstairs.

                                                              Our Christmas Table

                                                            Winter Box with Bird

                                                         Christmas Surprise Ball

                                                          Judy loves transferware.

Black swan w/crown perched on a cone

Antique Majolica is another favorite of Judy's.

More vintage Christmas

                                                              If you have any questions
about what you have seen just leave a comment or send
an e-mail to me at:  tbourdakis@gmail.com

There's a lot more vintage Christmas ornaments,
vintage jewelry, "grab bags" of bits and pieces to make your own art, as well
as vintage silk flowers, and ribbons both vintage and new.  Oh, yes, old lace,
and sterling silver trays, restaurant silver,  porcelain boxes, hand made gift cards and tags,
French and English tables, chairs, as well as, custom lampshades and pillows.

Wendy's Designs

I just couldn't resist showing you what I bought at Wendy's.  I wanted to buy
everything  but I was really good about limiting myself.

Love this fruit bowl!

Theater of Dreams

Today was Wendy Addison's holiday sale at her shop, Theater of Dreams,  in Port
Costa, CA.  I have been going to this event with my friend Debbie Addie ever
since Wendy moved to Port Costa and started this tradition.  Wendy opens her
shop for the 3 days after Thanksgiving and again on 2  weekends in December.
This is where she sells her original "Theater of Dreams" creations, as well as, those
she has created for Tinsel Trading.  The shop is quite small and is crowded from
the time the doors open but the feeling is like nothing you have ever experienced.
You want to have the whole shop to yourself to soak up everything you see.
I tried to take as many pictures as I could without just snapping the backs of
heads.  I am still trying to figure out how to take better pictures but these will give
you an idea of how wonderfully magical Wendy's creations are.

Sorry Wendy for my blurred picture!

This is the side garden next to Theater of Dreams.  Such a magical place!

Hand made Xmas Ornaments from long ago

I found this picture in my I Photo library and it happens to be of someone's
hand made ornaments.  They are glittered eggs with original pop-beads
(for those of us old enough to remember).  They are so cute and
are for sale at the shop.

Cherubini Coffee House

Here's  the link to an article I just came upon in the Danville Patch, an
on-line newpaper for our local area, about the Cherubini Coffee House. danville.patch.com/listings/cherubini-coffee-house. Cherubini's
Italian roast coffee is the best!!  They also have wonderful breakfasts,
soups, salads, sandwiches and home-made pastries and deserts.
(We are located upstairs behind Cherubini)

Fall colors are here!

Who says California doesn't have seasons?  Being born and
raised right here, well, Menlo Park, to be exact, I have always felt
we have seasons.  Maybe not as colorful as the New England
fall colors but they sure are beautiful to me.

Halloween is over...on to Thanksgiving

Isn't this weather crazy and wonderful? I had to show you what should be the final
pick of  this season's  roses from my backyard.  No wonder I can't get in the Xmas
spirit.  Roses in November?  That's crazy, for my roses anyway.

Halloween

My witch's cabinet.  I keep finding things to add
like a skull and a bat (not in the picture)

I loved the altered pumpkin ideas from Jenny Doh's  blog.

The
wonderful witch box is a Charlene Geiger creation that I was lucky enough to buy at the Tinsel and Treasures http://www.tinselandtreasures.com/ show here in Alamo, Ca.

The lady on the pumpkin is a Nicole Sayre design. http://nicolsayre.typepad.com/nicol_sayre/

This fabulous witchy girl is by Colleen Moody http://colleenmoody.blogspot.com/
and I am so lucky to own her!

These treasures are from Debbie Addie, Iva Wilcox http://www.ivascreations.typepad.com/

and Charlene Geiger.  I apologize for the quality of the pictures.  I am working on
taking better pictures and I am not sure if it is just me or the camera, I am sure it is both. Now I really appreciate the great photos on all the  blogs I follow as it is not easy!

My little corner of the shop:

While waiting to get a photographer in to get some great shots of the shop, I am posting a picture I took a while ago.   Can't wait to get professional pictures.

Welcome to my blog.  I have enjoyed so many fantastic blogs both for the inspiration and
information for so long now that I  finally decided to jump in and try creating a blog of my
 own.

I am always hunting for the things I love to collect, sell, and transform into something
new again, or for those pieces that should just be loved for their own well loved worn
out beauty.

I sell my new and vintage ribbons lace and other vintage "smalls" inside the most wonderful antique shop, "Friendship Farm Antiques".  Judy, my dearest friend and owner has been in the antique business for 30 years.  She and her wonderful husband  shipped containers from England and France for the better part of 20 years.  The shop is filled with antique English and French country  furniture and accessories,  as well as custom lamp shades, pillows and much more.  Judy has a vast collection of transferware and Majolica.   I'll be posting pictures of the shop soon but to give you an idea of what I like here are a few pictures of my collections and what I hunt for.

Thought I'd add a couple of
pictures of the tags I make and
sell at Friendship Farm Antqiues,
Findings, in Carmel and
The Birdcage in Solana Beach.
